Art After Dark

Attention folks around the Milford area! The Anthill Farm will be one of the guest artists this Saturday evening at 7pm at the Broad Street Coffeehouse's monthly art exhibition called, "Art After Dark." Along with local artist Greg Hecho and a performance by the youth at The Milford Music Center, we Ants will be in town to help promote the proposed idea for a new Milford Farmers Market there on 611 Broad Street as well as our 2012 CSA! Registration for the Milford CSA will be open from 7pm-9pm so stop on down. We will be serving up farm fresh food too! We hope to see you down there!

PASA 2012 Winter Conference

Winter came late this year but now that it is here, it feels appropriate to be inside sending out seed orders and planning the CSA for the upcoming 2012 season. Winter also means conference time! Along with fellow Wayne County farmers, Roger (Treeline Farm), Tim & Susan (Safford Farm), I shot up to Saratoga Springs last weekend to attend the NOFA-NY Winter Conference. Holiday Pierogi Making Workshop!

The holidays are back and what better time than now to be making food, hanging out with your old pals by the fire and listening to your favorite holiday tunes over a hot cup of cider. Speaking of food, my all-time favorite holiday food is the one and only pierogi! Coming from a great big family of Polish folks, it's our tradition to come together each year to mix up dough and roll out dozens of pierogies in preparation for the feast on Christmas Eve.

We're pleased to announce, to all of our loyal CSA members, this year's Potluck Harvest Dinner. Things kick off at 4:30pm on Sunday, November 6th with a hayride tour of the farm compliments of Farmer Sky- so make sure to bring the kiddies! Following the tour, we'll all move indoors to set up for dinner. You'll hear tunes from Oak, a duo comprised of Farmer Geoff and his band-mate, Joey.
